Our Team


Michael Harris:

The Owner/President, was raised in the Dallas Metroplex area. He is a native Texan with integrity, honesty, commitment and drive. He is a husband and father of four sons: Bryan, Joshua, Luke and Mark. The company was started after the birth of the first two boys, hence the name “BRY-JO”.

Michael began his career in the roofing industry as an installer in 1986. In 1998 he became an Estimator and Project Manager for a local general contractor who specialized in insurance losses. He obtained his adjusters license in 1998 and worked as a claims adjuster for two years. While adjusting property claims, it became very obvious to him that people were in need of better service from their contractors. He observed substandard repairs and frustrated customers without repercussion. In 2000 he re-entered the Construction / General Contracting field and clearly shows his passion by making sure his clients are taken care of daily.

Maria Harris:

Vice President/Kitchen and Bathroom Design Division. Maria is Michael’s wife and was initially responsible for creating the corporate footprint and all of the administrative systems within BRY-JO. Prior to her working with Michael, she was a Certified Litigation Paralegal. She also has an employment background in Business Management.

LR-Current-LogoMaria participates in many activities within the Richardson community. She is a graduate of Leadership Richardson, on the Advisory Board of the Chamber of Commerce and many other organizations within Richardson.

Today she mostly handles Kitchen and Bathroom Design as well as Room Additions. Maria continues to take design class/seminars within the remodeling industry. Maria’s designs have gained BRY-JO national recognition. Today, the remodeling division is responsible for a least half of the annual gross profit of BRY-JO.


Mahlon Mattal
Lead Carpenter

As Lead Carpenter and Project Supervisor for BRY-JO, Mahlon has almost twenty years of residential remodeling expertise. He has been with BRY-JO for 8 years. His attention to details and craftsmanship are often praised by our clients.





David Oberkrieser

After completing his undergraduate degree from California State University in Northridge, CA, David moved to Dallas and began his career as a Property Claims Adjuster for Farmers Insurance in 1996. He left Farmers Insurance after three years and entered life as an Independent Claims Adjuster. As an Independent Adjuster, David developed extensive experience in both residential and commercial property claims for both daily and catastrophic losses. Upon meeting Michael in 2003, BRY-JO quickly became his contractor of choice in any situation that he was at liberty to provide a referral. Ready for a change after 20 years in the insurance industry, the opportunity to work with Michael and Maria at BRY-JO materialized. David’s personal experiences and trust built over many years with Michael and Maria, and the solid reputation that BRY-JO has maintained within the community made working for BRY-JO a perfect fit for him.

David, his wife Cheryl, and their 3 children reside in Highland Village, TX.

Office Staff:

Behind the scenes, BRY-JO’s office staff seamlessly manages all details to ensure your project experience is timely and satisfying. The office team has over 40 years of combined experience and talents including organizational skills, efficiency, endless resourcing and a general love of the community translating into unmatched customer service. Bonnie Perry has worked in a multitude of networking environments and is now serving as BRY-JO’s Director of First Impressions. Robyn, with brilliant office management skills carries the administrative umbrella and Account Management with our vendors.
