Raised in the Dallas Metroplex area, Owner/President Michael Harris possesses all of the qualities it takes to be BRYJO’s successful leader—integrity, honesty, commitment and drive.
Michael began his career in the roofing industry as an installer in 1986. In 1998, he became an estimator and project manager for a local who specialized in insurance losses. He obtained his adjusters license in 1998 and worked as a claims adjuster for two years. While adjusting property claims, it became evident to Harris that better contracting services were needed. In 2000, he re-entered the construction field as a licensed general contractor, where he is adamant about taking care of his clients.
Michael is a husband and father of four sons: Bryan, Joshua, Luke and Mark. A commonly-asked question, how did we get the name BRYJO? The company was started after the birth of the first two boys, hence the name “BRYJO.”
Initially responsible for creating the corporate footprint and all administrative systems within BRYJO, Maria Harris is Vice President and leads the Kitchen and Bathroom Design Division.
Maria, Michael’s wife and business partner, participates in many activities within the Richardson community. She is a graduate of Leadership Richardson, on the Advisory Board of the Chamber of Commerce and many other organizations within Richardson.
Today, she handles kitchen and bathroom design, as well as room additions. Maria continues to take design class/seminars within the remodeling industry, and her designs have gained BRYJO national recognition. Today, the remodeling division is responsible for half of the annual gross profit of BRYJO.
Estimator/Design Team Leader
Bryan joined BRYJO after graduating from the University of Minnesota in Spring 2019 with a B.S. Industrial and Systems Engineering with a focus on Project Management. He currently assists in estimating while working on the design of floorplans for potential clients. When not working, Bryan enjoys spending time with family, friends and playing adult league soccer.
When calling into the BRYJO office, you have likely spoken with Robyn. For more than 5 years Robyn has served as our office manager and is responsible for all the support staff.
Mahlon has more than 20 years in residential remodeling. BRYJO’s clientele often praises Mahlon’s attention to detail and artful craftsmanship. He has been with BRYJO for more than 10 years.
