COVID-19 – Situation and Solutions
As many of you are aware, Clay Jenkins, Dallas County Judge ordered “Shelter In Place” for all DALLAS County Residents to go into effect as of midnight tonight. This order explains that all “non essential” business should also close as part of this order. Identified under the section of “Essential Businesses” under the “Infrastructure” sub-category, is “Residential and Commercial Construction”. As a result, we are permitted to be open and conduct business in Dallas County.
BRYJO has set the following in place:
- We are limiting our work to exterior and interior projects at homes with specific non-customer contact criteria
- Our office staff has been reduced in order to be available to take your calls, but to protect the health of essential employees
- If you plan to stop by our office to drop off a payment or contract, please call and speak with Robyn by phone and make arrangements with her to put out a box at our front door for you to drop off your item. We would like to limit all contact with our office staff.
We spent last week meeting, researching and rescheduling work as the information regarding COVID -19 was released daily. Our top priorities are our active projects and our staff. Please be advised that if we are preparing an estimate for you- we have not forgotten about you! You are important to us! We hope you understand our delay in finishing your estimate and commit, now that several of us are set up in home offices , to get those estimates out to you this week.
Finally, we want to assure you that we are still in business! We have been blessed over the years with wisdom and discernment about being good stewards of our finances. At this time, we can support our staff for an extended period of time. Our biggest financial concern is for our vendors/sub- contractors. Many of them need to actively work to support their families. We are doing everything we can to keep them busy and producing, while keeping them isolated from one another- respecting social distancing and limiting their exposure.
Michael and I believe that we are called to have a posture of faith not fear. We know that God is sovereign and in-charge and we trust Him. We want to be a vessel of hope in these unprecedented times. Please pray with us that our community ‘Shelter in Place’ as directed, limit their exposure and contact as instructed, and are safe. Pray that these times of isolation allow us to grow closer with our family and encourage us to build relational bridges that the ‘busyness of life’ kept us from before. As a community- we can love one another and beat this virus if we think of one another in our decisions, daily.
